​​Meet the Trainer
My name is Natalie Goodman, and I’m a certified personal trainer and functional movement specialist, certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and accredited by the NCCA.
​
I offer in-home and virtual personal training, creating thoughtful, goal-oriented programs tailored specifically to your body, history, and needs.
In addition to my private practice, I currently teach group fitness and Tai Chi at Mass General, where I work alongside a team of physical therapists to help clients continue progressing safely and confidently after being discharged from physical therapy. I work with people of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and fitness levels.

My Movement Background:
My approach is shaped by a lifetime of movement. I was a high school athlete in gymnastics, lacrosse, and track, later in college trained as a long-distance runner, and continue to move through rock climbing, roller skating, yoga, Pilates, and strength training. I also study, practice, and teach Yang and Wu-style Tai Chi. I consider myself a lifelong student of movement, and I enjoy continually learning, refining, and expanding my movement vocabulary so I can better support the people I train.

Why Function Through Fitness?
My goal is to help you move with intention, awareness, and efficiency, and not just to work harder.

I teach you how to coordinate your brain and body together, improving neuromuscular connection, balance, and body awareness. When movement is tailored to you, workouts become more meaningful, useful, and sustainable.

While weight loss can be a byproduct of training, it is not always the primary objective. Instead, I focus on helping you feel more connected to your body, move more efficiently, and perform better in everyday life. When movement improves, strength, resilience, and metabolic output naturally follow.

I am currently accepting in-home clients in the Easthampton and Northampton areas.
Virtual Training:
Yes! If you don’t live nearby, I offer virtual personal training at a discounted rate, with the same individualized attention and programming.​
